Company culture means something at Mintos. It's evolved from the unwritten values shared by our early team to the well-articulated Mintos Virtues that guide us today. See how we bring them to life below.
While companies are built in the image of their founders, our culture has changed by everyone who's joined since. Each person brings something new. Culture doesn't stay the same. It shifts as we grow and as our business evolves. It's a moving target, and we embrace that.
Our culture guides how we face problems every day, how we behave and make decisions when no one is looking. There's no perfect culture and every company is unique. The key is staying true to who we are and what we value.
The Mintos Virtues are our way of putting this into words, how we behave and make decisions. They're based on actions, not just beliefs, which is why we call them virtues rather than values. Values are what you believe. Virtues are what you do.
My hope is that the majority of us will follow the Mintos Virtues most of the time. They don't exist for us to be perfect – just better. They guide our decisions and shape how we work together.
At the end of the day, we'll eventually forget the numbers, the tools, and procedures. What we'll remember are the people we worked with and how it felt to work at Mintos. I hope those memories are great.

Pursue learning and growth
Everyone has more potential than they know. At Mintos, learning is how we unlock it. What you learn here translates into growth, both professionally and as a person. This is a place for people who are excited to face new challenges.
Outside our comfort zone is where we thrive. As we overcome new challenges, we grow, ready for the next one. Every problem solved is another step forward. Moving up this path and looking back makes us realize how far we've come as individuals and as a company.
When life gives us lemons, we use every tool at our disposal to make the best lemonade, then share the recipe with each other.
How do we pursue learning and growth?
We use every opportunity to chase knowledge. What we learn, we share with the people around us.
Our know-how is homegrown. We expand it through collaboration, code reviews, retrospectives, cross-team projects, and proactive feedback. These are how we learn from each other and build together.
We share what we know and seek what we don't in the experience of others.
Empowerment goes beyond Mintos. We present what we've learned at top universities and industry conferences. Our people are guest speakers at prestigious business schools.
Default to transparency
Shared clarity about our strategy and objectives saves us time and gives us all a clearly defined direction. Clarity becomes the accessible guideline that helps us make the right decisions, internally and externally.
Transparency isn't an abstract principle. It's a pragmatic tool for productive and fulfilling work.
We don't cut corners, and we don't whisper in corners. Transparency is where trust begins - and it brings loyal customers and top talent to the yard.
How we work gives everyone a clear understanding of who does what, when, and why. We empower each other to share concerns and suggestions. Grounded in trustworthiness, we stand firm together, even when the road gets rocky.
How do we default to transparency?
We ensure the free flow of information by following the rule of 360 degree transparency.
The view within Mintos
We keep information flowing through our daily practices. Stand-up meetings, daily reports, product updates, and monthly all-hands help us share where the business stands - both big picture and day-to-day details. From the start, each project includes everyone who needs to be involved. We invest time and resources to explain the background and objectives that lie ahead.
The view of Mintos
The Mintos leadership team and co-founders are always available and take part in live company-wide all-hands every month. People can ask questions anonymously and speak freely. After all-hands, we have the Mintos Happy Hour, where conversations continue in a relaxed environment over snacks and drinks.
The view on Mintos
We don't shy away from sharing information with our customers. Our Investor Success team makes sure every question gets answered, thoroughly and quickly. We stay tuned in to what investors are saying, taking their suggestions and concerns seriously, and constantly working to improve our product and push transparency further.
Be an owner
We love passionate people with strong motivation to do their best work, at any moment and to any given project. We appreciate those who take on a problem they see they can help with, even if it’s not on their to-do list.
At Mintos, everyone brings their best to the table. We believe true ownership matters because what belongs to all belongs to none. We trust our team members with real responsibility and the freedom to deliver on it. Every day is a chance to apply their unique skills and talents. When people own their work, they don't just do it. They make it great.
How do we become owners?
We’re guided by clearly set expectations and each one of us is responsible for their own individual performance that contributes to our shared goals.
We believe the best work happens when we're together. In-person collaboration, whether in planned meetings or spontaneous chats, helps us build the connections that drive real ownership.
Being an owner goes beyond daily responsibilities. All employees are offered Mintos stock options as part of their compensation package. The future value of our company depends on the work we do today, and that shared stake motivates us to bring our best effort.
We work with clear accountability. Through quarterly business review planning sessions, teams align on goals and track performance with defined KPIs. When it comes to company-wide objectives, we strive to have clear owners with defined responsibilities. We're all working toward the same outcome, so by owning our work, we all reach our goal.
Execute the work
Execution fuels us more than ideation.
We deliver work consistently, in small teams, making real progress every day. We don't wait for others to finish before contributing. We proactively jump in and move things forward together.
We're constantly building, iterating, and improving. When we spot manual tasks that could be automated, we optimize them. AI tools, better processes, smarter workflows. We use whatever helps us spend more time on meaningful work and less on repetitive tasks.
When things are quiet, we look for ways to bring more value to customers, tackle deprioritized tasks, or put our house in order. We keep our work tidy and always improving.
How do we execute the work?
Speed matters. If an idea makes sense now, it's the right time to act. We set clear objectives and a roadmap, then execute quickly.
Company-wide QBRs set our direction. Team QBRs and KPIs guide us to the finish line. Project management tools like Jira turn plans into action, tracking our progress and keeping us on course.
We work in sprints with monthly all-hands meetings to set the company's pulse. This gives us enough time to make meaningful progress and reflect on what we've achieved. Big projects get broken into manageable pieces so small teams can deliver quickly. We learn, iterate, and improve as we go.
Think customer
If there were no customers, there would be no work for us. That's why customer value guides every decision we make.
We don't guess what investors need. We ask them. Before launching new products, we conduct interviews to understand what investors actually want on the investment platform. Their insights shape our roadmap.
Customer first isn't just a motto. It means choosing what creates the most value for them, even when it's harder for us. It means treating clients with respect and working to earn theirs in return. We stand with our customers whether markets are up or down, and we go above and beyond to maintain the trust they've placed in us.
How do we "think customer"?
Our business runs on trust. Everything we do is about earning and keeping it.
We actively seek feedback. When someone mentions Mintos on social media, positive or negative, we share it in a dedicated channel, and the responsible teams take action. Feedback isn't something we wait for. We hunt for it.
We build with our customers, not just for them.
Our teams meet customers and partners at their level to understand their needs firsthand, and show them what our all-in-one investment platform can do for them.
