Get refreshed and take the time you need with Mintos flexible vacation policy. #Mintospeople do not accumulate paid time off, they instead enjoy the flexibility to take time off whenever need, without worrying about available vacation days.
* Vacation days need to be pre-approved with your direct manager. The purpose of pre-approval: the direct manager can better plan the workload for the team
For illness lasting up to 1 day there is NO need to have doctor’s report, that day counts as regular day in the office
For illness lasting longer than 1 day you will need to get a doctor’s report for you to be eligible for sick leave pay
* If you are ill, you should inform your direct manager and notify the accounting team via submitting the sick leave form
For State exams or for when preparing or defending your diploma, Mintos treats up to 5 days of study leave as a paid leave
For parents whose child goes to elementary school from 1st to 4th grade, September 1st is a paid day off, allowing you to enjoy the time with those who appreciate it the most
In celebration of your beautiful life event, Mintos shares the love with you and gives up to 3 paid wedding rest days
Each country's legislation differs regarding paid days off for employees. Mintos follows local regulations and applies them in practice. Employees are eligible to use local public holidays and extra paid days off.

The Flexible vacation policy gives you the flexibility to take time off, without having to worry about how many vacation days you’ve accrued (earned). We trust you to get the job done, flexibility allows you to take the time off that you need, when you need it.
Here are some examples of how it works in practice:
Example 1: Your vacation accrual is 3 days, but you want to take a week off. Mintos allows you to take a week-long vacation even if you have not accrued enough days yet.
Example 2: You have used the flexible vacation policy during your time at Mintos and decide to leave Mintos while your accrual is negative. Mintos will not deduct the days you’ve taken in advance from your final payout. If your accrual is positive, Mintos will pay out the accrued days with your final payroll.

Best actions to take when planning your time-off:
- schedule your vacation as far in advance as possible so you and your team can plan work ahead
- notify your manager and coworkers you work closely with when you will be off. This will allow for appropriate coverage plans to be in place before you take your time off
- avoid planning your vacation during periods you know your presence will be crucial due to important projects or other business specifics
As long as you control your work and time-off balance, notify your manager, keep your team informed, and do your best to ensure that your work is covered while you’re out, you can enjoy the freedom that flexibility brings.
