What you will do:

As the Junior Accountant, you will help to process, account and control accounting documents of the Group companies.

This is a part-time position (20 hours per week) for a temporary period of up to 8 months. Please note that there is the possibility to work more than 20 hours per week, depending on your availability.

If you are a university student, this will be a great opportunity to combine your studies with work as the working hours are flexible.

You will:

• Provide accounting records of source documents, data verification, and entry;
• Communicate with vendors in case if necessary;
• Participate in the preparation of monthly closure reports and reports for Latvijas Banka and annual reports for subsidiary companies of the Group;
• Learn how to work as part of the Accounting team;
• Provide support to the rest of the accounting team members in daily work.

Your professional skills and background:

• Strong desire to learn along with professional drive;
• Ongoing studies in the field of Finance or Accounting;
• Good level of written and spoken Latvian and English;
• Basic understanding of accounting and taxation;
• Computer skills at an advanced user level (MS Office);
• Good communication skills, accuracy and ability to work independently;
• Motivation and strong desire to take on new challenges and learn as much as possible.

Compensation:

The part-time position offers a salary of €655 for 20 hours per week, with the potential to earn up to €1310 based on additional hours worked.
